Domanski’s prose is characterized by simple language and captivated content. Humor, satire, and tragedy often coexist side by side. Fantasy and facts are mixed here giving nevertheless interesting and true record of Communism in Poland. The author rightly emphasizes the absurdness of rules created by government where ordinary human were helpless.
But Domanski’s stories are not political reports; they are very interesting literature set in meticulously recreated realities.
